SBT Localization and a roundtable “Language is Relevant”
At the invitation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee, we attended the round table “Language is relevant. Challenges and Tasks of State Language Policy.”
Dice Con, the tabletop gaming festival, was recently held in Lviv. Considering we have quite a few TTRPG enthusiasts in SBT, some of our members visited the event.
The festival had space both for a fun time and for sharing with the community.
Yura Pavliuk led the charge in telling about Geekach’s Cyberpunk RED translation. The world of this tabletop game has unique qualities that differ from the video game version. After the lecture, he held a short Q&A session, answering some burning community questions.
We’d like to remind you that the quick start booklet for Cyberpunk RED. Easy Mode is already available for purchase, or you can download the digital version for free, as well as character sheets and maps. Later during winter, Geekach is planning to release Cyberpunk RED. Jumpstart kit, which will include the main rules booklet, an adventure book, hero sheets, minis, maps, and dice. We are also finishing our work on the main Cyberpunk RED rulebook.
What’s a tabletop fest without tabletop gaming? There were plenty of opportunities for exciting adventures there.
Our game master, Yevhen Tkach, ran two games: Too many chickens! and The breakfast is running away!
Our colleagues were also asked for an autograph. It was an incredibly unexpected and pleasant surprise!
Dice Con is a great place to meet many good people, for example, the representatives of publishers Geekach and AllGames.
It’s also a fine opportunity to see (and buy) lots of interesting things. Like those awesome minis, among which we found Shadowheart from Baldur’s Gate 3.
Someone also met Astarion in the beer line (he was behaving himself and did not bite).
Truly, it is impossible to convey all the experiences with just these words and photos. It would be best to see it for yourself. So we’d like to thank the organizers for a great festival and all the guests for hanging out with us. See you at the next Dice Con!
